1st Grade News ~ 2/7/17

It's hard to believe - we have already passed the 100th day of school in first grade.  Last week our kindergarteners dressed up as 100 year olds - absolutely precious!  In first grade, students read about "Animal One Hundreds".  A bald eagle can fly 100 miles a day and dolphins can have 100 teeth.  We also learned that centipedes don't always have 100 legs.  They can have between 30 and 382 legs.

Before you know it, Valentine's Day will be here.  We are asking first graders to prepare a card for each of their friends and decorate a bag or box to used as a Valentine "mailbox."  Our very special room parents plan fantastic parties and we always have plenty of helpers on hand.
